Result
The service
This service handles requests for the result of a message which is sent. It has two ways of doing this
- Polling
- Callback
When a customer creates a message it can provide a callback url to which the message result service will try to send the result. This is done when the processor publishes a result message.
When customers don’t want/have the option to provide a callback url, they can request the result at any time using a http GET request. Normally this would be done with some kind of polling mechanism. To prevent abuse of the service a rate limit will be applied per customer.
Polling
Requests done to the /api/message/result endpoint will be sent to the Result service. This service will then try to get the result status of a job.
The input for the message is the jobId which was sent to the customer as a result of the POST to /api/message. To get the result of a job the Result
service will make a request to NATS to get the status of the job.
